This Skeleton belonged to a "Halisaurus Arambourgii" Mosasaur. This particular species didn’t grow very big. Full grown adults may have reached up to 12 ft in length. Like all other Mosasaurs, this animal was a swift, agile swimmer employing its four paddles and stout tail to propel itself. This specimen was found in the phosphate mines of “Sidi-daoui, Morocco” it dates back to the Maestrichtian period, about 70-65 million years ago. This mosasaur Skeleton is a spectacular specimen, has been professionally prepared and mounted on a custom iron sand. It features great detail and preservation with minimal restoration. This is a premium quality specimen, not to be compared with the many inexpensive fake Skeletons on market place. This would make a great addition to any fossil collection or museum display.

The Moroccan Mosasaurus
The Moroccan Mosasaurus is a fascinating marine reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 82 to 66 million years ago. Fossils of these formidable creatures have been predominantly found in the phosphate deposits of the Oulad Abdoun Basin in Morocco, a region renowned for its rich and diverse fossil record.
These Moroccan mosasaurs were apex predators of their time, possessing long, streamlined bodies, powerful paddle-like limbs, and strong, muscular tails that enabled swift and agile swimming. They had massive heads with jaws filled with sharp, conical teeth, perfect for seizing and consuming a variety of prey, including fish, squid, and other marine reptiles.
Moroccan mosasaurs are notable for their exceptional preservation, which has provided paleontologists with valuable insights into their anatomy and lifestyle.
